Risk Officer  

Role Summary:

As part of the second line of defense, the Trust Risk Officer is responsible in assisting the Risk Management Head to identify, assess, mitigate, report, and monitor operational risks in accordance with the duly approved Risk Management Manual and existing regulations. The role holder shall assist in designing, developing, and implementing operational risk management activities in coordination with concerned groups within the organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Risk Management Committee Reports:

• Prepare the operational risks-related updates for ATC & AAMI Risk Management Committee to empower the Board to make informed decisions by providing meaningful insights and aid them to effectively carry out fiduciary duty of oversight.
• Prepare and present the operational risks-related updates for CDV and Funds Risk Management Committee to provide clear understanding of the prominent risks that demand attention and resonates with the Board’s strategic decision-making process.

Incident Management:

• Facilitate the resolution of each investment risk-related incident to mitigate the risk, contain the damage and prevent future re-occurrence of the similar incident.

Business Continuity Management:

• Implement the BCM program that identifies threats and contingencies and assess the capabilities and responses to assure continuous business operation and protect the interest of stakeholders.

Risk Control and Self-Assessment:

• Assess the overall operational risk and improve visibility to understand the risk posture and identify control deficiencies.
• Perform operational risk analysis, navigate and proactively aid in building strategic shield against potential risks.

Policy Development/Manual Review/KRI:

• Review investment-related policies and risk limits and limit setting to check if it is being implemented as intended, effective and relevant.
• Assess the existing KRI thresholds which are crucial to manage risk exposure and protect the bottom line.
  

Risk Awareness Campaign:

• Develop and disseminate risk bulletins and trainings materials to provide information that is equally engaging and educational that would aid employees in their day-today management of risk.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's in finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering or business-related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk management in a trust corporation, banking or financial industry/technology business
