Strategic Financial Leadership 
- Lead the development and execution of long-term financial strategies, annual budgets, business modeling, variance analyses, and forecasting.

- Optimize billing cycles, accelerate accounts receivable collection, and ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards. Implement automated systems for invoicing and payment processing 
- Establish nternal controls and tracking of accounts payables i.e., general expenditure, supplier/partner settlements and other related transactions - These include developing clear policies and procedures to ensure transparency, prevent fraud, and mitigate financial exposure. 
- Regular audits and reconciliations will be conducted to maintain accuracy and compliance 
- Collaborate closely with account and legal teams to negotiate favorable contract terms. This includes meticulously reviewing financial clauses, defining clear payment milestones, and establishing cancellation, revision and renewal policies to protect the company's interests and optimize profitability.

Treasury Management

Manage group cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational and expansion needs.

Manage all treasury functions, including banking relationships, and investment management to ensure adequate working capital for execution and production needs.

Formulate strategies for capital structure optimization, and debt management.

Risk Management and Compliance 
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks across the group, including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk. 
- Ensure full compliance with tax laws, data privacy, corporate governance standards, and financial governance standards and regulations in line with media industry regulations. 
- Establish, develop, maintain and implement effective internal control systems to safeguard assets, financial integrity, prevent fraud, promote transparency, and ensure accountability within all finance-related activities. 
- Collaborate and work with management to monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized through effective controls and checks.

About the Role:

The Accounting Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), month-end close activities, and audit support. The General Accounting Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day support in operation and maintenance of the organization’s financial records (general ledger). S/He is accountable for creating journal entries and assembling supporting documentation, as well as for tracking the contents of accounts. The Accounting Assistant V is responsible for administering student accounts functions for the Ateneo School of Government and the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. The position is also responsible for providing various financial reports related to student accounts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
I. Student Accounts Management

	<li>Implements various services and activities pertaining to student accounts for the Ateneo School of Government and the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health

		<li>Configures and manages tuition and fees in the Student Information System (Ateneo Information Management System [AIMS] and Student Access Module System [SAMS])</li>
		<li>Enters tuition receipts by generating cashiers’ Daily Collection of Tuition Receipts, and encoding tuition receipt payments</li>
		<li>Posts tuition receipts and places individual assessments of students to process students with underload and overload</li>
		<li>Records student accounts adjustments, scholarships, refunds, and tuition credits for proper charging</li>
		<li>Updates records of students’ subsequent payments for every installment</li>
		<li>Prepares certification of breakdown of tuition and fees and certified true copy of tuition receipts, as requested by students for reimbursement purposes</li>
		<li>Provides support to the Office of the Bursar during enrollment period, by accessing the AIMS and correcting student balances, when necessary</li>
		<li>Matches data in the AIMS and the SAMS, and sends notification of tuition balances to students</li>

		<li>Prepares quarterly aging of accounts receivables for ASOG and ASMPH</li>
		<li>Provides needed data for various reports pertaining to tuition-related revenues</li>
		<li>Prepares year-end audit schedules for accounts receivables and income accounts, and audit schedules for receivables and revenues for ASOG and ASMPH</li>
