This is an execution-focused role: you will close the books cleanly each month, file our taxes correctly and on time, and deliver accurate, investor-ready financial reports without supervision.

You will be the single point of accountability for everything finance and accounting at Moongig, from BIR compliance to monthly close to cashflow tracking. You won't be doing this alone: you'll have direct access to the founders, our external auditors and legal, and the operational support to get things done. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accurate books, on-time filings, and getting the numbers right the first time.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Close &amp; Reporting

<ul>
	<li>Own end-to-end monthly close: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and review</li>
	<li>Reconcile bank, credit card, payroll, and related accounts on a monthly basis</li>
	<li>Prepare monthly, YTD, and full-year financial statements (P&amp;L, balance sheet, cash flow) with quick turnaround</li>
	<li>Maintain a clean, organized general ledger and ensure audit-ready books at all times</li>
	<li>Produce investor- and board-ready financial reports when requested</li>
</ul>

Tax &amp; Statutory Compliance

<ul>
	<li>Own all BIR filings end-to-end: VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and annual filings</li>
	<li>Hands-on use of eBIRForms, eFPS, and validation modules</li>
	<li>Ensure timely and accurate compliance with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and all other statutory requirements</li>
	<li>Coordinate directly with external auditors, tax agents, and government agencies</li>
	<li>Maintain complete documentation to support every filing</li>
</ul>

Daily Finance Operations

<ul>
	<li>Manage AP/AR: invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reimbursements</li>
	<li>Process payroll and professional fee disbursements accurately and on time</li>
	<li>Coordinate with HR and/or external payroll providers to validate payroll reports and deductions</li>
	<li>Monitor and report cashflow, burn rate, and runway on a weekly or bi-weekly basis</li>
</ul>

Budgeting &amp; Variance Tracking

<ul>
	<li>Track actuals against approved budgets and flag variances proactively</li>
	<li>Support founders with simple cost analysis and unit economics when needed</li>
</ul>

Systems &amp; Documentation

<ul>
	<li>Maintain and improve accounting tools, trackers, and reports</li>
	<li>Document finance processes, approval workflows, and internal controls</li>
	<li>Streamline and automate recurring tasks where possible</li>
</ul>

Senior Accountant

Revenue assurance and recognition

<ul>
	<li>Checks accuracy and completeness of revenues on a monthly basis, thru settlement reports</li>
	<li>Records revenues in SAP or other books of accounts</li>
	<li>Recognizes accrual of revenue</li>
	<li>Invoice generation and billing of clients, telecommunication companies and other partners</li>
	<li>Performs variance analysis and other reports needed by the business team.</li>
</ul>

Credit and collection monitoring

<ul>
	<li>Monitors age of trade receivables</li>
	<li>Manages collection from customers, bank deposit of checks, and monitor bank accounts</li>
	<li>Collects and files BIR Forms 2306/2307 for taxes withheld</li>
	<li>Ensures that transactions pertaining to collections have been reconciled and posted on time.</li>
</ul>

Maintenance of finance and accounting documents

<ul>
	<li>Maintain files and documents, such as receiving copies of invoices, official receipts, bank statements</li>
	<li>Keep records of contracts and agreements, conforme letters, memoranda, and email correspondence</li>
	<li>Prepares Journal Voucher for accounting entries</li>
</ul>

Tax Compliance and Management

<ul>
	<li>Ensures tax compliance and regularly file and pay accurate taxes on time, without any delay</li>
	<li>Ensures internal and external audit compliance</li>
	<li>Liaise with BIR on tax audit and verification</li>
</ul>

Adhoc reports

<ul>
	<li>All other reports that may be required from time to time</li>
	<li>Accurate disbursement of duly approved petty cash voucher to correct G-cash wallet; accurate journal entries.</li>
	<li>Manage and validate business transportation, accurate journal entries
