The Accounting Assistant III is responsible for maintaining and organizing the inventory of the University’s fixed assets. The position will also assist during student enrollment and in reconciliation of accounts.

Job Description

Vessel Accountant is responsible for completing monthly, quarterly and annual close for Operating expenses (OPEX) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and local requirements added to Group’s internal procedures and controls.

 

 

Main Tasks

<ul>
	<li>Financial Close &amp; Reporting: Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close procedures, ensuring compliance with global accounting standards. Prepare and deliver comprehensive external OPEX reporting packages.</li>
	<li>Operational Accounting: Oversee vessel OPEX accounting, including vendor invoices, bank transactions, accruals, foreign currency revaluations, and intercompany charges. Ensure timely processing of Final Disbursement Accounts, insurance, and intercompany invoices.</li>
	<li>Cash Management: Monitor cash positions, initiate funding requests, and administer payment transactions. Develop insightful monthly OPEX cash flow forecasts.</li>
	<li>Reconciliation &amp; Compliance: Review and reconcile vessel-level financial statements, perform manual account matching, and manage intercompany reconciliations. Coordinate quarterly P2P compliance reviews.</li>
	<li>Documentation &amp; Reporting: Keep meticulous records through structured systems, prepare related party invoices, and ensure proper archiving. Consolidate and reconcile owner-specific cost allocations.</li>
	<li>Project Accounting: Manage financial aspects of CAPEX, drydock, and special maintenance projects. Review project forecasts and conduct financial performance analysis.</li>
	<li>Collaboration &amp; Innovation: Work closely with various departments, drive accuracy in closing activities, and continuously improve routines and reporting structures.</li>
	<li>Internal Controls &amp; Audit: Execute internal control activities, support external audits, ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP, and perform reconciliations to maintain data integrity.</li>
	<li>Operational Support: Identify and implement process improvements, address vendor inquiries, review and approve vendor setups, and validate customer and banking documentation.</li>
	<li>Process Enhancement: Contribute to the design of accounting systems and workflows, provide support to the P2P team, and prepare documentation for P&amp;I claims and maritime insurance cases.</li>
	<li>Compliance &amp; Reporting: Ensure alignment with internal compliance guidelines, support broader finance and fleet management teams, and provide ad hoc reporting and analysis.</li>

Revenue assurance and recognition

<ul>
	<li>Checks accuracy and completeness of revenues on a monthly basis, thru settlement reports</li>
	<li>Records revenues in SAP or other books of accounts</li>
	<li>Recognizes accrual of revenue</li>
	<li>Invoice generation and billing of clients, telecommunication companies and other partners</li>
	<li>Performs variance analysis and other reports needed by the business team.</li>

Credit and collection monitoring

<ul>
	<li>Monitors age of trade receivables</li>
	<li>Manages collection from customers, bank deposit of checks, and monitor bank accounts</li>
	<li>Collects and files BIR Forms 2306/2307 for taxes withheld</li>
	<li>Ensures that transactions pertaining to collections have been reconciled and posted on time.</li>

Maintenance of finance and accounting documents

Accountant Revenue

Job Description

The Corporate Accountant ensures statutory financial statements for assigned Höegh LNG entities are completed in accordance with IFRS, regulations, and internal procedures. The role maintains relationships with auditors and public filing entities, ensures compliance with internal controls, and supports consolidated reporting for the Group.

Main Tasks

Financial Close

<ul>
	<li>Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for consolidated and statutory reporting. Handle vendor/customer invoices, bank transactions, accruals, depreciation, amortization, reclassifications, currency revaluations, IFRS15 and IFRS9 entries. Prepare related-party invoices, intercompany interest, payments, reconciliations, and ensure proper classification in IFS. Work with Group Accounting on budgets, forecasts, and reporting routines.</li>

Statutory Reporting

<ul>
	<li>Prepare quarterly and annual financials in line with IFRS. Provide deviation analysis versus budget, cash-flow reporting, and rolling forecasts.</li>

Bank, Cash, Loans 

<ul>
	<li>Approve payments, perform reconciliations, manage loan facilities, ensure compliance with cash management procedures, report covenants, and prepare long-term forecasts.</li>
</ul>

 

Internal Controls &amp; Audits 

<ul>
	<li>Execute internal controls per GSM guidelines, support external auditors, ensure reporting accuracy, and maintain compliance with key controls.</li>
</ul>

 

Tax &amp; Compliance

<ul>
	<li>File tax returns, assist with VAT reporting, and ensure adherence to local requirements.</li>
</ul>

 

Project Cost Control 

<ul>
	<li>Monitor project accounting data, POs, invoices, and cost allocations. Ensure correct routing and reporting of project costs. Track manhours, travel, and consultant expenses, liaise with Accounting for recharges, and maintain project codes.</li>

Project Reporting

	<li>Prepare internal/external project reports using IFS, Excel, and Power BI. Align CAPEX/EXP categories with Accounting, support reporting standardization, and manage reimbursement packages.</li>

Project Close

	<li>Follow monthly/quarterly close checklists, update forecasts, and ensure timely project sign-offs.</li>
