Job Description

The Strategy, Risk and Performance Specialist is responsible for providing support on the development and implementation of strategic, risk and performance management programs of the company and the designing of its processes, policies and procedures.

'Risk Management

  1. Provides assistance in the management and facilitation of the risk assessment and coordination in the development of risk response.
  2. Monitors and reviews processes to ensure compliance to overall risk management.
  3. Facilitates quarterly risk management review by Opscomm.
  4. Implements periodic risk challenges to review and validate the risk profiles of the department/process together with the departments or division.
  5. Prepare, analyze and review the formulation of mid-year and year-end risk reports such as Strategic risk management plan (SRMP), Key Risk indicators (KRI) and consolidated ORMPs and other risk reports.
  6. Designs and implement Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) processes through creation of guidelines, procedures, work instructions and effective platforms/systems.
  7. Provides support to risk finance activities such as:
  • Provision of support to Risk Engineering Survey
  • Coordinates incident management activities for potential insurance claims
  • Coordinates with internal/external contacts on the procurement/renewal/billing/dissemination of information/other insurance concerns.

8. Implements Business Continuity Management (BCM) functions such as:

  • Design/plan, implements and monitors the execution of the annual Business Continuity Management (BCM) program in coordination with top and middle management.
  • Designs, review and develops contingency and business continuity programs through periodic review of Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Strategy (BCS) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP.
  • Designs and implements BCP testing and exercises through the preparation of BCP test plans and evaluation reports.
  • Acts as the BCM coordinator during occurrence of incidents, BC scenario and crisis who is responsible in coordinating the BC plans to the incident management teams and monitoring the incident.
  • Handles the BCMS external and internal audits which includes preparatory works before the audit and the closure of BCMS audit findings.
  • In-charge of the maintenance of the group’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) through periodic reviews of the BIA, BCS and BCPs.
  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Business Continuity Management (BCM).

Strategy and Performance Management

  1. Provides assistance in the Strategic Planning based on the assessment of internal and external factors.
  2. Provides support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions).
  3. Initiates the Strategic planning review.
  4. Facilitates the conduct of the context of the organization requirement.
  5. Monitors monthly and quarterly implementation of strategic and performance management.
  6. Ensures monthly review and submission of Tier 2 scorecards for monitoring purposes and collates and presents Tier 2 reports to the Opscomm quarterly.
  7. Facilitates quarterly tier 2 performance review by Opscomm.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of any Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably with MBA or equivalent practical experience
  • Preferably had one (1) year experience in a technical or professional position involving the exercise of judgment, problem solving, and communication with other managerial or professional personnel, peers, customers and/or other interested parties.
  • Preferably with 2-3 years of experience in a power industry or power generation
