Software Engineer  

Summary: Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software applications using Java and/or NodeJS.
• Design, implement, and manage SQL databases.
• Work with AWS cloud services to deploy and manage applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and use the existing tools such SonarCloud to improve the code quality and tools such as Cypress to help testing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and issues, providing timely support and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction..
• Ensure the security and performance of applications.
• Document code and maintain technical documentation.

Note:

• Working at day time hours (no graveyard shifts)
• Working on only one account/customer (instead of jumping around from one to the next customer without building a long lasting relationship)

Requirements:

• Experience with Java (preferred) and/or NodeJS: Proven track record of developing and maintaining applications.
• Experience with SQL databases: Proficient in writing complex queries and managing database systems.
• Experience with AWS cloud services: Familiarity with AWS services and tools for application deployment and management.
• Git + GitHub / BitBucket: Experience with version control systems and collaborative development.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance: Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks with minimal supervision.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in relevant technologies will be an added advantage (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Oracle Certified Professional).
