As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the entire web development process, from frontend to backend, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications. The Full Stack Engineer will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and technologies to drive innovation and enhance user experience.
Job Accountabilities
- Design and develop high-quality web applications using frontend and backend technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, SMEs and UX designers to understand requirements and create functional and user-friendly features.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using modern web development languages and frameworks to produce effective APIs and user-friendly interfaces.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Optimize application performance and scalability through code optimization and database tuning.
- Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, estimation, and daily stand-ups.
- Compliance
- Ensure that all company policies, procedures, programs and instruction are carried out
- Be familiar and understand Pru Life UK Compliance Standards. Must be fully aware of his/her responsibilities and competent to carry them out to the required standards.
- Must report all compliance matters openly and honestly to their Compliance Officer in accordance with the reporting requirements operated by the Compliance Officer.
- Must operate a process within his/her department to ensure that all relevant compliance matters are identified and reported.
Minimum Qualifications
Intermediate to Advance in 2 or more per category and or expert in at least in 1
- UI - Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
- Backend - Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
- Databases - Familiarity with databases in both RDBMS and NoSQL(e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
- With proficient understanding of how containerization, CICD and DevSecOps works.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development and solid understanding of web protocols, standards, and security best practices.
