AI Patent Figure QC Technician  

We are seeking a detail-oriented AI Patent Figure QC Technician to support the production of patent figures using AI-assisted workflows. This role focuses on reviewing, validating, and preparing AI-generated patent diagrams to ensure they comply with USPTO standards and technical instructions.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience working with vector graphics or technical diagrams, and the ability to verify accuracy in complex visual information.

This is a technical quality control role, not a traditional illustration role.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate patent figures using AI tools based on provided technical instructions

• Review and validate AI-generated SVG diagrams for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure figures comply with USPTO patent drawing standards
• Verify reference numerals, labels, figure numbers, and diagram structure
• Confirm text readability, arrow directions, and diagram consistency
• Inspect SVG files using tools such as Inkscape or similar vector software
• Coordinate corrections by prompting AI tools to fix specific issues
• Export final figures in USPTO-compliant PDF or high-resolution TIFF format
• Maintain quality control checklists for each figure
• Track figure production across multiple patent projects
• Meet daily production targets of approximately 8–50 figures per day, depending on complexity and revision requirements

Required Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
• Familiarity with vector graphics formats (SVG preferred)
• Basic experience with vector editing tools (Inkscape, Illustrator, or similar)
• Ability to follow structured technical instructions
• Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently under production deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in graphic design, technical drafting, CAD, or engineering diagrams
• Experience reviewing technical diagrams or patent illustrations
• Familiarity with patent figure standards or technical documentation
• Experience working in AI-assisted workflows
