Is the Role Right for You?
The Strategic Director plays a pivotal role within the M2.0 Communications team, leading the development and execution of strategic communication plans that foster client success and drive agency growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Philippine media landscape and excel in developing strategic insights that lead to actionable and impactful communication campaigns. You will be responsible for overseeing market research, competitive analysis, and guiding the team to create innovative solutions that align with client objectives. As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with account teams, creative teams, and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Development:
- Lead the development of comprehensive PR and communication strategies aligned with client goals.
- Conduct market research and perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and challenges in the Philippine market.
- Translate research and analysis into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that drive results.
- Ensure the successful implementation of strategic initiatives within the defined timeframe (KPI: Strategic Plan Implementation Rate).
Client Relationship Management:
- Work with account teams to tailor strategies to meet clients’ specific needs.
- Present strategic plans and recommendations clearly and compellingly to clients.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and continued collaboration.
- Contribute to client retention by maintaining a high level of satisfaction (KPI: Client Retention Rate).
Innovation & Thought Leadership:
- Keep abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and industry innovations in PR and communications.
- Develop new services/products based on market insights and strategic planning (KPI: New Service/Product Development).
- Act as a thought leader within the agency, sharing insights and contributing to its industry presence.
Financial Management:
- Oversee the budget allocated for strategic initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation and minimal variance (KPI: Budget Management).
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including account managers, creatives, and senior leadership to execute strategic plans.
- Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing within the agency (KPI: Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing).
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, or communications, preferably within a PR agency or related industry in the Philippines.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful strategic communication plans.
- Strong understanding of the Philippine media landscape and cultural nuances.
- Exceptional research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and lead innovative strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Commitment to continuous learning and development, with a target of 40 hours of relevant training annually (KPI: Training & Development).
