- Conceptualize and develop new furniture designs
- Responsible for creating pattern design & color trend suggestion for home living goods.
- Create detailed sketches and 3D models of furniture pieces.
- Collaborate with the buying team to ensure designs are feasible and practical.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and materials.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders into designs.
- Preparing Buying Brief proposals every 6 months.
- Ensure that all designs meet quality and safety standards.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Participate in design reviews and critiques.
- Provide technical support to the buying team.
- Attend Furniture events and trade shows to stay informed about new developments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in furniture design or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio of design work.
- Proficiency in design software such as Sketchup, AutoCAS, Adobe or other simillar tools
- Ability to interpret design brief/requirement and translate into product design.
- Ability to read and understand production shop drawings by interpreting specification.
- Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes & manufacture processes.
- Able to communicate in English fluently.
