The Role
We currently seek to fill the role of Finance and Compliance Officer who will have the chance to make a civic impact in the Philippines and beyond and grow a career in a young non-profit. The work is hybrid and will be mostly on a work-from-home arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead in securing, regularly complying with, and renewing pertinent government requirements/permits for the foundation’s operationalization as a non-profit.
- Help develop and take the lead in maintaining financial systems and processes to support efficient and effective office operations and project implementations. These systems and processes include inflows (donations, grants, and raised funds) and outflows (operations, payroll, project disbursements, and procurement).
- Help develop and take the lead in maintaining proper financial records for office operations, financial transparency to foundation’s partners, and regular reporting to government agencies, especially to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
- Help develop and take the lead in maintaining proper banking systems including being the point of contact for banking communications.
- Help the Executive Director in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Monitor expenditures and financial performance, providing regular updates and recommendations to the Executive Director.
- Help the Executive Director in hiring and managing human resources.
- Ensure the integrity and efficiency of the foundation’s financial operations and human resource management, implementing best practices and constantly pursuing improvement strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to major tasks outlined above.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, Finance, Business or other related course
- At least one (1) year of experience in Accounting and Finance
- Work experience in both Government and Non-Profit Compliances is highly desirable
- Can demonstrate work-from-home reliability and outputs
- Can use Quick Books, and proficient in tech use
- Has a strong commitment to work in a non-profit start-up setting
- Shares the development advocacy and core values of Create Foundation
- Innovative and creative in making solutions
- Excellent command of the English Language (both written and verbal)
