Job Description
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple retail stores to ensure operational excellence, sales growth, and profitability. This role is responsible for driving store performance, improving operational efficiency, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, optimizing inventory management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with extensive retail operations experience and a proven ability to manage multi-site teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores to ensure consistent execution of company standards and operational excellence.
- Drive sales growth by monitoring store performance, analyzing sales trends, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute operational plans to improve productivity, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare operational reports, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess operational compliance, merchandising standards, visual presentation, and customer service quality.
- Ensure proper inventory management, stock availability, replenishment, shrinkage control, and coordination with warehouse and supply chain teams.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, finance, HR, and procurement teams to support business initiatives and promotional campaigns.
- Lead, coach, and develop Area Managers, Store Managers, and store teams to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising service quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and internal audit requirements.
- Lead store opening, renovation, relocation, and expansion projects as required.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency across all retail locations.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing multiple stores or business units.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, sales management, inventory control, merchandising, customer service, and loss prevention.
- Proven experience managing multi-site retail operations and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with experience using POS systems, ERP platforms, and inventory management software.
- Ability to interpret sales and operational data to develop effective business strategies.
- Willing to travel regularly for branch visits and operational oversight.
