Job Description
Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
The Teacher Aide is responsible for the ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for the students while providing faculty and classroom operations support.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Classroom Operations and Faculty Support
- Supports the teacher in planning and setting up the classroom and learning centers, ensuring an organized and engaging learning environment
- Ensures the availability and preparation of necessary classroom materials and supplies to facilitate smooth and effective lessons and activities
- Tracks the inventory and replenishment of school materials and supplies in the assigned classroom
- Provides clerical and administrative assistance to assigned faculty, managing paperwork, organizing documents, and aiding in communication to allow teachers to focus on instruction
- Upholds strict confidentiality regarding information about children, their families, and other employees
II. Student Assistance and Safety
- Assists students who need support with in class activities, providing guidance and ensuring they can fully participate
- Guides students during class movements to various school facilities (Health Services, Library, Computer Lab etc.) and back to the assigned classroom
- Maintains a vigilant watch to ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, fostering a secure environment
- Attends to students’ needs related to nutrition, hygiene and personal necessities as needed
III. Performs other work-related tasks as may be required by the immediate supervisor and authorized representative

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Communication Skills: Demonstrates clear and concise oral (English and Filipino) and written communication skills
- Child-Friendly Disposition: Exhibits a warm and friendly demeanor that fosters a positive and approachable presence, making it easy for children to feel comfortable and liked.
- Administrative Support Skills: Provides clerical and administrative assistance to assigned faculty
- Planning and Organization Skills: Ability to do strategic planning, organizing tasks, and managing all resources efficiently to achieve objectives
- Service Orientations: Actively looking for ways to help people; Ability to relate with students with a pleasing, warm and patient disposition
- Active Listening: Gives full attention to what people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions appropriately
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate tactfully and sensitively with all types of personalities and predispositions
- Basic Technological Skills: Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and navigating computer and internet tools
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree graduate
- At least one (1) year of work experience in a school setting and working with children
