The Ateneo de Manila Grade School Teacher is the primary formator in the classroom. As a model of the Jesuit principle of cura personalis alumnorum (personal care and concern for the student), he/she is greatly responsible for the development and holistic formation of the students.

Following the principle of special parental authority, an equally important task of the Grade School teacher aside from teaching is to attend to the welfare of students.

The Grade School teacher is based in a grade level and is a member of a subject area task force. 	<li>Conduct home visits and student interviews for intake of program participants </li>
	<li>Plan and implement interventions and community-building activities including college bridging, mentoring sessions, batch gatherings, orientation seminars, etc</li>
	<li>Conduct consultations or “kumustahan” sessions with students and other stakeholders (parents, volunteers, partners) and prepare consultation reports</li>

Program Officer for Formation | Pathways for Higher Education

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Career Advisor assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives related to career development of undergraduate students, networking with the employment sector, and research. This position provides career counseling to undergraduate students and alumni and helps them with education plans, shifting, and other job-related issues ( finding work and setting career goals)

Career Advisor

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities: 
The Director oversees all college student organizations and co-curricular activities, ensuring alignment with the university’s values and formation goals. The role involves developing and enforcing policies, systems, and support mechanisms that foster a dynamic, inclusive, and purpose-driven student activities ecosystem—one that cultivates ethical leadership, creative engagement, and community impact.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Student Formation

<ul>
	<li>Provides strategic leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs focused on student leadership development and organization capacity-building.</li>
	<li>Oversees the initiatives and operations of student organizations, offering direct guidance in planning, strategy, and execution to ensure quality learning and formation experiences.</li>
	<li>Supervises student engagement and representation in various university-wide activities, ensuring that these opportunities contribute to holistic formation.</li>
	<li>Facilitates effective collaboration between student organizations and university administration offices to encourage strategic partnerships and shared outcomes.</li>
	<li>Acts as the primary liaison and resource person between student organizations and the college administration to promote mutual understanding, support, and aligned objectives.</li>
	<li>Develops and applies assessment tools, rubrics, and evaluation mechanisms to measure and enhance the effectiveness of student organizations and their projects.</li>
	<li>Leads a systematic incubation and mentoring program for emerging student organizations to help them grow in mission-alignment, structure, and sustainability.</li>
	<li>Provides ongoing consultation, mentorship, and support to student leaders and responds to student-related emergencies or crisis situations when necessary.</li>

2. Administration

	<li>Manages the OSA operational budget and develops policies and protocols for the effective and transparent use of the student activities fund and the publication fund.</li>

	<li>Formulates and enforces the guidelines on student activities to ensure that student organizations thrive within the framework of university policies and values.</li>
	<li>Coordinates and supports the pool of moderators of student organizations to align formation goals and ensure clear communication of vision and strategies.</li>
	<li>Oversees the performance and professional development of OSA staff, manages the selection and onboarding of new personnel, and fosters a culture of collaboration and excellence.</li>

3. Representation

	<li>Advocates for student organization interests in key university processes such as planning, policy development, student orientation, and other institutional engagements.</li>

Director | Office of Student Activities

Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>Under the general supervision of the Program Assistant Director and Office for Social Concern and Involvement (OSCI) Director, the Student Affairs Professional is responsible for the coordination, planning, and implementation of one of the social formation programs of OSCI</li>
	<li>Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of activities of formation programs</li>
	<li>Performs administrative tasks necessary to the operation of the office and formation program</li>
</ul>

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>Participates in the review of program objectives and learning outcomes of students</li>
	<li>Designs modules, trainings, and activities for students in line with the program’s identified objectives and learning outcomes</li>
	<li>Coordinates with government institutions, non-government organizations, peoples’ organizations, parishes, grassroots communities, student organizations, and relevant offices in the Ateneo de Manila University for partnership in the implementation of the formation programs
	<ul>
		<li>Conducts social investigations, planning sessions, and other coordination meetings with identified partners</li>
		<li>Follows OSCI protocols in finalizing partnerships with identified institutions and communities</li>
		<li>Conducts orientation for foster parents and other stakeholders who will be directly involved with the students during area engagements/immersions as well as skills training (e.g. Giving Effective Feedback, Facilitation Skills, Grading Student Performance, etc.), if necessary</li>
		<li>Schedules follow-up meetings to ensure that activities with identified partner institutions and communities will push through according to agreed plans</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>Provides orientation/input to students to ensure that they are prepared for their area engagement/immersion</li>
	<li>Facilitates area engagements/immersion of our students</li>
	<li>Monitors area engagements/immersions to ensure the safety and security of students by following OSCI protocols</li>
	<li>Coordinates and arranges transportation to assist students in going to and from their assigned area or community</li>
	<li>Facilitates the reflection and analysis of the experiences of students</li>
	<li>Mentors and coaches students in their formation through consultations</li>
	<li>Distributes evaluation survey and collects evaluation results from students, and internal and external partners to gather needed data to improve the design and activities of the formation program</li>
	<li>Encodes students’ grades in AISIS or submits students’ grades; student performance evaluation form or completion matrix to partner academic departments as agreed upon by OSCI and partner academic departments</li>
	<li>Coordinates with Sanggunian and student organizations regarding program-related concerns</li>
	<li>Performs the following administrative tasks:

		<li>Regularly reports his/her schedule to the office for monitoring of the designated Program Assistant Director</li>
		<li>Manages finances for the operational expenses of the program specifically budget proposal, disbursement, and liquidation</li>
		<li>Submits to the office assistant requests for reservation of venues and equipment including other logistical arrangements necessary for the implementation of the formation program</li>
		<li>Facilitates and/or documents program and office meetings</li>

	<li>Organizes advocacy campaigns related to current social issues to heighten awareness and involvement of students</li>
