Job Description
Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Kinder Coordinator the Teacher Aide is responsible for
the safety and well-being of the Kindergarten students.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows directions given by class teacher:
- Assists in planning and preparing the classroom
- Helps set-up learning centers
- Helps prepare needed materials and supplies
- Assists during class movements (Library, Computer Lab, playground, etc.)
- Assists students who need help in an activity
- Maintains confidentiality about children, their families, and other employees outside the school
- Assists students going to the Health Services, Library, Computer Lab, etc
- Makes sure the children are always safe and well
- Attends to the students’ requirements for assistance related to nutrition, hygiene and personal necessities
- Keeps track of inventory of school materials in assigned classroom
- Attends staff meetings and recommended training programs
- Provides clerical and administrative support to faculty
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Should be fluent in English and Filipino (Oral and Written)
- Should have a warm and friendly attitude that will easily be liked by children
- Exhibits genuine care and concern for young students
- Has good organizational skills
- Knows basic computer skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of any college degree
- At least 1 year of experience in a school-setting and working with children
