We are seeking an experienced, technically proficient, and results-driven Senior B2B Email Marketing Strategist with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in developing and executing high-performance email programs that directly support sales enablement and lead generation. This is a senior-level role that will lead strategy and execution in partnership with a team of over 20 sales representatives, helping them engage high-value accounts and accelerate the pipeline.
The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with deep technical expertise in Salesforce, Salesloft, Mailchimp, and email deliverability best practices, and knows how to connect email performance with revenue growth. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of email communications—from list management, content strategy, automation architecture, to analytics and optimization—with a strong focus on personalization, segmentation, and conversion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine multi-touch B2B email campaigns that support the outreach and pipeline goals of our national sales team.
- Build and maintain segmented sales enablement email lists within Salesforce, Salesloft, and Mailchimp, leveraging behavioral and demographic data to deliver highly targeted communications.
- Design complex email workflows, nurturing sequences, and one-off campaigns that align with buying stages, verticals, and account priorities.
- Collaborate directly with sales leadership and Salesloft users to develop automated cadences and outbound sequences that feel personalized, timely, and relevant.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance using Google Analytics, Mailchimp analytics, and CRM reports—driving continuous optimization based on insights.
- Own the technical setup and compliance of all email campaigns, ensuring deliverability, inbox placement, and adherence to privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing of subject lines, copy, layout, CTAs, and send times to enhance engagement and drive qualified lead generation.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on email deliverability, sender reputation, SPF/DKIM/DMARC authentication, and domain management.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing B2B email marketing programs, ideally in SaaS, technology, or enterprise services.
- Advanced user of Salesforce CRM, Mailchimp, Salesloft, and Google Analytics.
- In-depth understanding of email deliverability, email authentication protocols, and compliance standards.
- Strong experience supporting sales teams directly, including customizing email templates, aligning messaging with account-based strategies, and measuring outreach effectiveness.
- Excellent written communication and B2B copywriting skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, compelling content.
- Analytical thinker with strong data skills—confident in interpreting engagement metrics, testing strategies, and optimization tactics.
- High attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building email strategies for sales teams of 10+ reps.
- Familiarity with marketing operations and integrating third-party platforms with Salesforce.
- Understanding of audience segmentation logic, lead scoring, and lifecycle marketing.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for basic email template adjustments or customization.
