Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and surpass sales targets. Lead by example by being directly involved in high-stakes negotiations and deal closures, setting a benchmark for the team.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Provide ongoing training and development to ensure the team is equipped with the latest industry knowledge and sales techniques.
  • New Sales Personnel Training: Design and implement a robust onboarding and training program for new sales hires. Ensure they quickly adapt to the company’s sales processes, understand product offerings, and are prepared to contribute effectively to the team's success.
  • Sales Support and Collaboration: Assist team members in their sales efforts by participating in crucial client meetings, helping to develop negotiation strategies, and providing support in closing high-priority deals.
  • Client Relationship Building: Establish, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges to deliver tailor-made solutions. Act as a primary point of contact for significant accounts, emphasizing customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies, ensuring a unified approach to reaching target audiences and generating qualified leads.
  • Market Analysis and Expansion: Identify new market opportunities and trends within the digital marketing and SEO sector. Utilize insights to expand business outreach and open new revenue streams.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management, using data-driven insights to refine sales tactics and strategies.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Continually evaluate sales processes and tools, implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Hands-On Deal Closing: Personally engage in the sales process, from lead generation through to deal closure, showcasing best practices and demonstrating advanced sales techniques to the team. Lead by example to motivate and drive the team’s success.
  • Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage the sales pipeline, ensuring prompt follow-up and nurturing of daily incoming leads. Implement strategies to convert potential leads into loyal clients, tracking progress through each stage of the sales cycle.
  • Comprehensive Sales Reporting: Conduct thorough analyses of sales performance on a quarterly and annual basis, delivering detailed reports that highlight successes, areas for improvement, and actionable insights. Utilize these reports to guide strategic decisions and enhance the company’s sales approach.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Capable of close at least 2 deals a month.
  • Competent to grow our Year on Year revenues by 30% along with your sales team.
  • Fit to qualify your prospects well and then grow your relationships with your clients so they stay and renew with us for at least 5 years.
  • Can faithfully present your pipelines and closed deals to the Execom every quarter.
  • Capable to train your new team members so that they close their first deal within the first three months.
  • Free to go out and participate in networking events at least twice a month to grow your pipeline.
  • Able to inspire your team members so they are able to close at least one deal a month.
  • Proven experience as a Head of Sales or a similar role in the digital marketing or SEO industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales metrics and data
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.)
  • Able to deliver quality results while handling multiple clients and working under pressure
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Has the ability to always be prepared for client requests and additional tasks from the management
  • Tech-savvy and knows his or her way around the internet.
  • Fast learner and Strategic thinker
  • Motivated, willing to sacrifice, and has the hunger and humility to learn.
  • Not afraid to take Challenges and is always looking for Growth
  • Beginner’s Mindset – always a student in spite of having experience in the industry.
  • Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion is a plus
