Junior Quality Assurance Automation  

Job Description:

• Perform manual testing on mobile applications, especially banking or financial service applications, to ensure functionality, reliability, and usability.
• Execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Participate in test planning, test execution, defect reporting, and test result documentation.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Support automation and performance testing activities under guidance from senior QA or team leads.
• Validate data consistency between mobile applications and backend systems using database queries (MySQL).
• Ensure testing activities follow QA Best Practices and established testing standards.
• Prepare test reports and present testing results with logical and rational explanations.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Continuously learn and improve testing skills, tools, and banking domain knowledge.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mobile application testing, in banking industry/company.
• General knowledge of the banking industry and banking business processes.
• Good understanding of QA Best Practices, testing methodologies, and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience in testing mobile applications (Android and/or iOS).
• Proficient in database concepts and able to write basic to intermediate MySQL queries.
• Familiar with Linux Server environments and virtualization technologies such as VMWare and OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).
• Familiar with Atlassian products and CI/CD tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Strong communication skills, open-minded attitude, and service-oriented mindset.
• Able to present testing results clearly and provide logical and rational explanations.
