- Ensures the following activities are complied and/or effectively and efficiently carried out by the company:
- Quality assurance of products through vigilant monitoring of adverse events and other reportable events
- Protocols for pharmacovigilance are in place and implemented
- Product information is science-based and product claims are well substantiated, factual, balanced and rational
- Marketing and promotions are strictly based on ethical practices
- Training materials related to disease and product information is science based and factual
- Helps formulate policies, solutions, strategies and plans to address/ minimize product risks
- HCP and HCO engagements are within ethical guidelines.
- Conducts medical review of all package inserts, labels, brochures and other labeling and promotion materials, including communications to HCPs, HCOs and regulatory authorities
- Assists in the training program of medical representatives, supervisors, pharmacists and other personnel of the company.
- Oversee regulatory affairs management and ensure validity of licenses and certificates of product registration.
- Provides medical and regulatory insight to guide business and operational decisions, ensure business continuity and minimize risks
- Participates in the company ethics board and provide oversight to ensure company’s adherence to promotional compliance and ethical regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine degree from a government-recognized medical school with a valid license to practice medicine from the Professional Regulation Commission
- Preferably a holder of a graduate degree or with graduate academic units in management, epidemiology, pharmacology, health economics or related fields
- At least three (3) years experience in pharmaceutical medical affairs as a medical manager/consultant role in a pharmaceutical company
- With strong working knowledge of scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial and competitive landscape in different therapeutic areas within the local pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent presentation skills; ability to simplify complex medical concepts to internal and external stakeholders
