Summary of Work Activites and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Fine Arts, the Administrative Assistant position provides office clerical support in the day to day operations of the Department.
A. Frontline Support
- Receives and attends to inquiries as well as forwards concerns to respective person within the department
- Receives, delivers and archives correspondences between department and other units as well as individuals/groups external to the University
B. General Office and Department Support
- Updates and records files received and released by the Department
- Archives and catalogues books, theses, projects, manuels, playbills, audiovisual materials, and other materials generated by the department's activities.
- Provides logistical support to the all events and activities initiated by the department
- Ensures upkeep and maintenance as well as security of the Department's teaching and office spaces
- Participates and provides logistical support as needed by various events and activities organized by the Loyola Schools and the University
- Performs other work related and relevant ad hoc tasks that may be assigned by the Department Chair
