Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the general guidance of the Section Head of Traffic and Mobility, the Shuttle Fleet Management Officer acts as the main resource on all matters concerning the internal and external shuttle systems
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, Policies and Guidelines
- Assists in the development and maintenance of mobility policies and guidelines, including conducting regular reviews and updates to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Conducts data gathering and analysis activities to support the formulation of strategic plans, policies, and programs related to shuttle fleet management, utilizing analytical and research skills to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Mobility Systems Improvement
- Serves as the section’s main liaison for school units (faculty and students) conducting research on the shuttle system, providing guidance and support to ensure that research activities are aligned with the university and the section’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Leads efforts to improve the efficiency of both internal and external shuttle systems through the development and implementation of technology-based solutions, working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to identify and address operational challenges.
- Assists in the planning and study of demand management initiatives, such as carpool and point-to-point programs, using data analysis and research skills to develop effective strategies for reducing traffic congestion and improving transportation options.
- Prepares technical and statistical reports on trips and ridership data, utilizing analytical skills to identify trends and patterns useful for system and policy improvements.
- Provides input and recommendations for the improvement of both internal and external shuttle systems, including identifying areas for improvement, developing appropriate solutions, and implementing changes to improve service delivery.
- Conducts regular safety and vehicle roadworthiness inspections, ensuring that all vehicles are in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Facilitates regular orientation programs for drivers to ensure that they are and that drivers are aware of safety protocols and procedures equipped with the skills needed to deliver safe and efficient transportation services.
Ensuring Compliance and Performance of Internal and External Shuttle Operations
- Oversees efficient operations of both internal and external shuttle systems, ensuring compliance with contract and service level agreements as well as government requirements.
- Coordinates with the supervisor of outsourced transport service providers regarding employee performance on campus and reviews/endorsed billing for processing of payment.
- Assists in regularly reviewing and updating contract and service level agreements with transport service providers.
- Manages the accreditation of school service and tricycle units deployed on campus.
Managing Mobility Stakeholders
- Coordinates with Basic Education to ensure that operations of the e-Jeep and school service are meeting expectations and requirements
- Handles concerns and complaints from parents, students, and other stakeholders regarding the school service and tricycle drivers and operators.
- Manages special trip requests for the e-Jeep (e.g. campus tours, event shuttle service) and coordinates with relevant units to fulfill these requests.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in traffic management is an advantage
- 2 years relevant experience
