- System Development & Management: Create and implement Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) programs, including SOPs, GMPs, and HACCP plans.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to local/international food safety laws (FDA, etc.) and certifications (ISO, BRC).
- Auditing & Inspection: Lead internal audits (hygiene, GMP) and supplier audits; manage corrective actions. Inspect and check incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with quality requirements and specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; reject and return unacceptable materials.
- Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and develop QC/QA staff. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; and complying with legal regulations.
- Process Monitoring: Oversee production to ensure quality standards are met and equipment calibration is maintained.
- Data & Analysis: Analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and conduct root cause analysis for defects/deviations.
- Supplier Management: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure raw material quality and audit their processes.
- Documentation & Traceability: Maintain accurate records, manage product specifications, and run recall systems. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into a quality database.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and drive quality initiatives.
- Pest Control: Ensure pest control programs are effective and recommendations are implemented.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of any Food Science-related courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Food Technology, etc.
- With at least 3-5 years of experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry
- Knowledgeable in GMP/HACCP Standard
- Knowledgeable in any Food Safety Standards such as BRC, FSSC 22000, SQF, etc.
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Should have a positive attitude
- With FSCO Certificate, a plus
- Amendable to work in Pasig
