The Media Relations Specialist will support the Public Relations AVP in strengthening the corporate reputation with media, PR-related associations, and other identified stakeholders.
He/She will establish, grow and maintain relationships with press, broadcast, and other
industry influencers with interests in energy, sustainability, technology, and business.
He/she will do this by writing, seeding, tracking, monitoring and measuring the stories released to the media, and developing media relations programs and crisis communication.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Business Management, Communication, Economics, or any 4-year related course
- At least 3 years of related experience
- At least 3 years of experience in media relations and corporate communications
- Able to understand and interpret data gained from research agencies and performance reports
- Able to handle all phases of creative development from concept to completion of video and still materials.
- ICOR Certification is a plus
