HR Manager in Retail Industry  

The HR Manager will lead all human resources functions for retail operations, specifically supporting supermarket, grocery, and convenience store branches. This role ensures efficient workforce management, high employee engagement, and compliance with labor standards across multiple store locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with retail operations and business growth
• Oversee high-volume recruitment for store staff (cashiers, baggers, stock clerks, supervisors)
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution across branches
• Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and company policies
• Handle end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, timekeeping, payroll coordination, and offboarding
• Lead performance management systems for store employees and supervisors
• Implement training programs focused on customer service, sales, and operations efficiency
• Monitor manpower planning, scheduling, and staffing levels per store
• Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives in a fast-paced retail environment
• Supervise and guide the HR team and coordinate with store managers

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 5–10 years of HR experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role
• Proven experience handling supermarket, grocery, or convenience store operations
• Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and retail HR practices
• Experience in high-volume hiring and multi-branch operations
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
