Cards Engineering Lead (.Net)  

About the Role

The Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and will help to implement the department’s IT engineering strategy. She/He will provide technical leadership and guide the development of best-in-class software solutions for their dedicated SBC business units. She/He is responsible for ensuring the team’s service delivery within time, budget and quality and serves as the contact point for all engineering activities for her/his dedicated BUs that require the services of her/his team. She/He will ensure their IT applications/systems are reliable and resolve frequent incidents permantly to reduce downtime for the business. She/He shall coach, develop, mentor, and lead the team to enhance their capabilities and fulfill these responsibilities.

What we’re looking for

• 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, leading teams of engineers in a technology or software development environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
• Experience with a variety of programming languages such as .Net and Python
• Experience with API design and development, including RESTful and SOAP web services
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Jira
• Understanding of security principles and experience implementing security controls in a software development environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team of engineers and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Should have an experience as an Engineering Lead for cards
• Experience with cards platform (credit & debit) and surrounding systems
• Preferably experience with modern cards platform
• Experience managing and driving cards vendor and cards issuer
