BuyBuddy is a subscription-based lifestyle app that helps consumers save more while helping merchants acquire new customers. We’re a fast-growing startup building a strong foundation in finance, operations, and people management as we scale.
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeping & HR Officer to manage our financial records, basic HR processes, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records
- Record daily transactions, expenses, and revenues
- Coordinate with external accountant for monthly financial reports (income statement, cash flow, expense tracking)
- Handle invoicing, collections, and payment tracking
- Coordinate with external accountant for monthly closings, tax filings, and compliance
- Monitor operational expenses
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions
- HR & Payroll
- Process monthly payroll and ensure timely salary releases
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and attendance
- Handle government remittances and compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR)
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Support basic HR policies, leaves, and internal coordination
- Admin & Compliance Support
- Maintain organized digital and physical records
- Assist with government registrations, renewals, and filings
- Coordinate with management on operational and finance-related tasks
- Support internal audits or investor reporting requirements when needed
Kualifikasi Minimum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 2–3 years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or HR/admin roles
- Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and government compliance
- Experience working with startups or SMEs is a plus
- Highly organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
- Able to handle confidential information with integrity
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities
Tools & Skills (Preferred)
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
- Basic HR and payroll processing experience
- Strong communication and coordination skills
