Relationship Manager  

The Relationship Manager of the Corporate Banking Group develops client portfolio of accounts to deliver budgeted goals and targets through cross-selling of bank products and new account on-boarding. S/He achieves revenue goals by approved through account planning, account profitability and risk management metrics.

• Prepares credit proposals alongside the Enterprise Risk Manager/Analyst and presents them to the Bank’s Credit Committee by orchestrating proper credit due diligence on account; Presents a balanced view of risk to approving authority to address clients’ credit facility requirements.
• Identifies, on-boards and develops new client relationships per defined target market by cross-selling appropriate bank products to grow the portfolio and achieve set budgets/goals in terms of Loans, Deposit, Foreign Exchange, Trade, Debt Capital Market, etc.; Uses an Account Plan to establish a profitable and multi-product relationship with clients.
• Manages and grows existing loan portfolio by maximizing wallet share and potential revenues of existing clients, facilitating client transactions, identifying and managing problem accounts including the preparation of watch list reports with action plans, proper classification of accounts for the right provisioning level, and timely referral to the Remedial Management Department when all possible collection efforts have been exhausted
• Ensures compliance with the Bank’s credit policies as well as all other governing policies for transactions that are processed and recommended; Keeps updated on credit policy revisions and enhancements by collaborating with Credit in updating and formulating new credit policies.
• Develops industry and product expertise by understanding clients’ banking needs and cross-selling Sbc’s banking solutions; Benchmarks and networks with other banks’ Account Officers to develop industry/sector knowledge and to be updated with banking practices.
• Oversees Junior Relationship Managers by coaching and mentoring on account strategy and transaction handling in order to achieve the Team’s goals

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Marketing or any related field.
• At least 5 years and above of relevant work experience
• Experience working with Accounting/Audit/Tax Services, Banking, Credit Card Companies, Financial Technology/Fintech, Insurance, IT Outsourcing Services, Leasing/Financing Institutions, Telecommunications preferred
• With good knowledge on credit, credit structuring, credit policies, transactional procedures, and product features. Knowledge on regulatory aspects of lending and banking, and legal documentation.
• Must have good leadership, interpersonal, marketing, and analytical skills.
• Must have analysis and solutions matching skills.
• Outgoing and has the passion for customer service and collaboration with shareholders, product and operational partners. Has the capacity to intelligently interact with senior leaders, whether internal or external. Aggressive in looking for opportunities to expand client relationships.
