ABOUT THE ROLE
The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing and managing the acquisition of furniture, fixtures, materials, and related supplies required for BSVI's supply and installation projects. This role ensures that all procurement activities are executed on time and aligned with the quality standards of each client project — from residential fit-outs to large-scale commercial installations.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain a reliable supplier and vendor database, including lead times, pricing tiers, and payment terms
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers on product specifications, pricing, and shipping logistics
Purchasing & Order Management
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with project specifications and client-approved quotations
- Monitor order and delivery status from confirmation through to installation, flagging delays proactively
- Ensure all indent and stock orders are placed with sufficient lead time to meet project timelines
- Track and manage downpayments, balance payments, and payment schedules per supplier terms
Cost Management & Negotiation
- Review and validate supplier quotations against market benchmarks
- Support the sales and design teams in preparing accurate cost estimates and client proposals
Logistics & Coordination
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and local delivery teams for imported goods
- Oversee container planning, CBM calculations, and shipping documentation for imported furniture and materials
- Liaise with the project management team to align delivery schedules with site readiness and installation timelines
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain complete procurement records including purchase orders, delivery receipts, invoices, and warranties
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and client contract terms
- Assist in resolving supplier disputes, warranty claims, and defective item replacements
Inventory & Warehouse Oversight
- Monitor deliveries on site and coordinate with the warehouse team
- Check stock levels for fast-moving items and coordinate replenishment accordingly
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile physical stock against procurement records
Kualifikasi Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience; background in the furniture, fit-out, construction, or interior design industry is a strong plus
- Proven track record of coordinating with suppliers and managing purchase orders for furniture or building materials
- Experience handling imported goods and working with overseas suppliers is an advantage
- Familiarity with indent ordering, lead time management, and freight coordination is preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic inventory systems
- Ability to read and interpret furniture specifications, technical drawings, and material finishes
- Basic understanding of currency conversion, landed cost computation, and import duties
- Knowledge of CBM calculations, container loading, and shipping documentation is an advantage
