Overall Role Purpose:

Performs network and administrative duties on behalf of the Service Centre in order to process material (both inbound and outbound) and provide network and shipment information often within tight time-frames.

Service Centre Supervisor

· Carry out any administrative task that is required for the Service Centre

· Assist in ensuring operational practices and procedures are carried out effectively

Network Duties

· Process inbound material upon arrival and make sure

· is available to the couriers and that material not going out for delivery is secured according to the Security policy and procedures

· Capture information - and make available to the Network - information required for a shipment, piece or handling unit at the service centre according to the standard procedures

Administration Duties

· Keep the process area clean and tidy and make sure it is ready for the next process cycle

· Ensure that all relevant equipment is operating and take corrective actions where equipment failure and to be proactive through taking action where equipment is falling below operating standards

· Expand knowledge of other roles within Operations in order to carry out these functions through a rotational shift mechanism.

The Materials Planning Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the availability of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and spare parts for production through efficient inventory control and timely delivery scheduling.

The role involves overseeing materials planning operations, ensuring stock availability, and collaborating with various departments to support production needs and minimize inventory risks.

Materials Planning Supervisor

The Distribution Leadman is responsible for assisting the Distribution Supervisor in truck scheduling, monitoring and coordinating third-party trucker performance, maintaining ISO documentation, and performing other related distribution functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fleet Coordination

- Monitor the status of delivery vehicles, including the delivery of new units by suppliers, repairs, breakdowns, and regular preventive maintenance.

2. Truck Scheduling

- Schedule delivery trucks based on sales requirements, including Transfer Trucks and Preload trucks.

- Schedule field-based personnel manning.

3. Expense Management

- Prepare distribution expense reimbursements, allowances, and overtime calculations.

4. Third-Party Truckers Monitoring

- Monitor the performance of third-party truckers, ensuring compliance with company requirements.

- Coordinate with third-party truckers regarding their performance, personnel, potential new routes, and outlets.

5. Documentation and Reporting

- Monitor and prepare reports on trucker crews' pending and unremitted documents.

- Prepare and maintain ISO and HACCP records for the distribution section.

This role ensures compliance with company standards, ISO requirements, and operational targets while supervising manpower, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and implementing continuous improvements in dispatch processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manpower Planning &amp; Supervision

Plans, organizes, and schedules manpower requirements for receiving and dispatch operations.

Provides leadership, training, and performance monitoring of dispatch personnel to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.

Receiving &amp; Inventory Control

Ensures that finished products are accurately received from Production and Toll Manufacturers.

Oversees proper allocation, storage, and issuance of products to salesmen in accordance with distribution requirements.

Maintains accurate records of stock movement to support inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.

Dispatch Operations Management

Ensures dispatch schedules are met and target dispatch times for all districts are consistently achieved.

Monitors dispatch activities and provides daily operational updates, ensuring proper turnover between shifts.

Implements corrective actions to address delays, errors, or process gaps.

Coordination &amp; Collaboration

Coordinates with Sales Administration, Marketing, and Production teams on matters related to dispatch and receiving operations.
