FMIDC History

First Multi-Tech Industrial and Development Corporation (FMIDC) was established in 1993 as a trading company supplying a wide range of products, from refurbished aircraft seats to concrete and wooden poles. With the emergence of mobile telecommunications and power distribution in 1998, FMIDC began shifting its product line focus into Automatic Transfer Switches, Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors, Fire Rated Cables, and Generator Sets.

From a small-scale venture, FMIDC has expanded into an enterprise. It became the sole distributor of ASCO Power Technologies in the Philippines. Due to its active presence in the telco industry in 1996, the company developed and pioneered the Comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (CPM) Program for Generator Sets and Airconditioning Systems. The range of services expanded in 2009, covering Telecommunication Works, Site Audit of the transmission system and repair
of the microwave, through Sel Telecom.

In 2015, FMIDC established FMIDC Maintenance and Services Inc. (FMS Inc.). Its mission is to provide facility maintenance and related services to various industries. In 2017, the company moved to its new office building and marked its growth by rebranding. To progress in the digital era, FMIDC became an official distributor of Schneider Electric Philippines and Vertiv’s DC Power Systems. 

With the company’s proven expertise and reliability, FMIDC is a reliable partner for telcos, utilities, contact centers, data centers, manufacturing, residential, and commercial establishments.

The company has already supplied and commissioned 7,000 ASCO Transfer Switches, some packaged with generators, and more than 12,000 ASCO Surge Protective Devices. FMS Inc. also maintained 6,000 cell sites, acquired a nationwide contract in the banking and financial institution industry, and is currently partnering with Common Tower Builders.

1. Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to ensure that equipment and machines continue to run smoothly.

2. Inspects electrical panels, temperature, rectifiers, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.

3. Inspects and test equipment in order to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions, or read work orders to determine required repairs.

4. Repairs and rebuilds defective mechanical parts in generators, air condition unit, and related equipment, using hand tools and power tools.

5. Delivers fuel on site for the maintained generators.

6. Performs other maintenance functions or as required by site special projects which was commissioned by the Operations Division.

7. Reports to maintenance engineer or supervisor site situations that need supervisorial actions or decision (those that are out of scope of the routine preventive maintenance).

8. Ensures that areas/sites of responsibility are well-maintained (i.e., housekeeping, grass cutting, etc.)

9. Performs testing of equipment prior to installation such as but not limited to load testing of generators.

10. Prepares daily and weekly report of PM activities.

Technician

Main duties and responsibilities

Air conditioning services

<ul>
	<li>Services air conditioning systems, including direct digital control building controls, pneumatic systems, cooling systems, refrigerators, and water coolers</li>
	<li>Conducts maintenance activities and inspections of HVAC systems</li>
	<li>Cleans evaporator drain pans, coils, and filters</li>
	<li>Lubricates fan and motor bearings</li>
	<li>Repairs or replaces motors, electrical wiring, belts, compressors, thermostats, and fans</li>
	<li>Tests equipment using instruments and gauges (e.g., volt-ohm meters) and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, pumps, and controls based on readings</li>
	<li>Repairs piping connections, valves, couplings, and fittings using hand tools, drill press, brazing, welding, soldering, and related methods</li>
</ul>

Plumbing services

<ul>
	<li>Installs, maintains, and repairs pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures within campus structures</li>
	<li>Performs welding and fitting works on high-pressure pipes and tanks</li>
	<li>Inspects plumbing and drainage systems inside buildings for preventive maintenance</li>
	<li>Coordinates plumbing tasks with contractors, electricians, and other professionals</li>

AC Technician and Plumber | Central Facilities Management Office

Position Summary: Provides assistance to personnel and visitors with regards to status and conditions of site, equipment, and activities by ensuring proper documentation and monitoring. 
 
Organizational Setting: 
 
Reports to: Area Supervisors and Team Leader 
Coordinates with: Team Members 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Provide a proper security plan (manned/unmanned) to ensure the safety and security of all equipment at the site. 
2. Prepare precautionary measures and plan improvements for site surveillance. 
3. Manages all incidents including police reports, investigations, court hearings etc. Ensure that documentation should be submitted within 36 hours from the time of incident. 
4. Report any stolen items or tampered assets inside the site to TOC and RM and provide clear photos for documentation. 
5. Coordinate with the Local Barangay and/or Police Station regarding incidents at site (if necessary) 
6. Attend to emergency calls and provide site assistance. 
7. Conduct Site Inspection to ensure that it’s in normal working operation. Including checking and taking photos of Site Perimeter (Fence/ Wall/ Gate/ Locks), Electric Power Meter, Site Electrical Panels, Tower, Equipment Groundings, Busbar, Perimeter Lights, Fire Extinguishers, Rectifiers, Equipment Cabinets, Genset, Genset Run Hour Meter, Current Fuel Level and Day Tank. If site with Cabin: Inspection of Cabin Doors, Airconditioning Unit, Groundings, Equipment, and assets inside the cabin. 
8. Report site for overgrown vegetation for site clean-up. 
 
Position requirements: 
 

Education: Engineering-related course (including 4 yr Engineering courses) and/or Technical Vocational course graduate 
 
Experience: At least six (6) months working experience of the same capacity or background.
