We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit evaluation process, monitoring outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collections from clients. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the company's cash flow and minimizing bad debt. The candidate will own the whole receivables process, such as posting, receiving and checking payments, issuing receipts, preparing statements, etc.

 

Key responsibilities include:

	<li>Credit Evaluation: Assist in assessing creditworthiness of new and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.

	<li>Collections: Contact clients to collect outstanding payments in a timely and professional manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.

	<li>Payment Processing: Track incoming payments, accurately apply them to customer accounts, and resolve any discrepancies. 
	 </li>
	<li>Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts to ensure balances are accurate and up to date. 
	 </li>
	<li>Aging Report Management: Maintain and monitor accounts receivable aging reports, following up on overdue accounts and escalating problematic cases as needed. 
	 </li>
	<li>Customer Communication: Build and maintain relationships with customers to resolve billing and payment issues, and negotiate payment plans when necessary. 
	 </li>
	<li>Credit Limits &amp; Terms: Recommend credit limits and payment terms based on company guidelines and credit risk assessment. 
	 </li>
	<li>Dispute Resolution: Work with internal departments (sales, customer service, etc.) to resolve billing disputes and ensure smooth resolution. 
	 </li>
	<li>Reporting: Prepare regular reports on collection efforts, credit issues, and overall account status for management review. 
	 </li>
	<li>Compliance: Ensure that all credit and collection activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
