Scrum Master  

The Scrum Master is responsible for supporting various clients and projects across our customer base by facilitating retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint/project to ensure the highest priority retrospective points are met to the customer's satisfaction. The primary job duties may include coaching scrum teams in all areas (including sprint reviews and planning), milestone tracking, holding daily stand-up meetings, and collaborating with engineering, product management, and quality control departments to ensure the project is completed according to specifications. Ensures that the team is following the scrum methodology and keeps the team on track, productive, and growing in ability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitates daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings.

Possess conflict resolution, does conversation by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect.

Help product owners to understand how to create and maintain the product backlog so the right work is done in the right order and to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint.

Coach the development team about Agile techniques like User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.

Independently and properly manage custom projects, especially with the identification and management of risks and issues affecting project delivery and PnL.

Manages the project releases, sprints, and possible impediments. Assist in creating a release plan and help maintain the prioritized project/product backlog.

Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint progress to all affected teams and management.

Ensures that the development team has been fully allocated and accounted for during the planning process.

Assists the team in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.

Maintains consistency within Jira and policies the proper use of the tool amongst the development team.

Provides visibility into program health, progress, and impediments by compiling, analyzing, and presenting statistics.

Build and track both the Release Plan and the Scrum/Iteration plan.

Assists with prioritization and resolution of software defects Interface with Program Management Office to ensure project goals and requirements are being met.

Helps with customer-specific releases, working closely with Program Management as the primary interface into the development team.

Maximize delivery flow by helping the team remove barriers that slow them down.

Continually assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.

Facilitates discussions and conflict resolution to improve team productivity while always promoting continuous improvement.

Mentors and educate the Scrum teams about practicing the core agile principles and software engineering best practices.

Continuous coaching of the team (and stakeholders around the team) to realize their highest potential.

• Creates and maintains project documentation, such as plans and reports.

  Defines the entire plan for the project, design, and control project schedule.

  Constantly look for ways to increase the project’s profitability and reduce expenses where possible.

  Reports an accurate project status internally to management and relevant customer stakeholders.

  Manages client relationships and expectations for the duration of the project.

  Handles change management and manage project issues on time.

  Proactively identify risks & risk mitigation to improve project success.

  Handles multiple projects simultaneously (in most cases).

  Builds and manages project teams, reports to the project sponsor, and ensures quality control throughout the project life cycle.

  Presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.

  Must have experience in large scale development project

  Must have experience in mobile and web development project

  Must have experience in Scrum Environment

  Certification is a plus.

  Related Work Experience – At least 2 years of experience as an IT Professional.

  Experience in projects following SDLC methodologies (Waterfall).

  Experience in web and mobile application development.

  Experience working in collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
