Content Marketing Writer  

The Content Marketing Writer has a knack for writing content and copy that persuades people to take a desired action — or at the very least, stir curiosity.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, open to feedback, web-savvy, up-to-date with SEO and content marketing best practices, aware of pop culture trends, and has an excellent command of English (verbal and written).

Beyond simply checking for accuracy, grammar, and plagiarism in their work, marketing writers must have a good understanding of the nuances of writing for people and for the Web (which now includes nascent AI models).

Responsibilities:

• Write content and/or copy that is consistent with messaging strategies and brand voice
• Produce written content in various forms, including, but not limited to, blog posts, website pages, landing pages, social media posts, email campaigns and marketing collaterals
• Write compelling blog posts and landing pages that adhere to SEO best practices
• Research and plot out blog post topics to write, depending on the specific brand/website
• Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of accurate and high-quality content
• Self-editing — proofreading for grammar and checking for inconsistencies in style and clarity
• Managing deadlines to ensure expected output is delivered on time, or reporting proactively if there are roadblocks

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent writing skills, whether content is in short-form or long-form
• Exceptional command of English, with a keen eye and ear for idiomatic usage
• Knowledge in productivity tools like Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Calendar)
• Can meet deadlines while working simultaneously on a reasonable number of projects/campaigns
• Can work under minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills
